Why Revtrail
Every marketing decision, backed by revenue.
Most analytics tools stop at pageviews. Revtrail follows the whole journey — first click, signup, payment — so every channel, campaign, and page gets a dollar value instead of a vanity number.
Revenue per channel
See exactly how much money Google, X, newsletters, and every referrer actually bring in.
Cookieless by design
Visitors are counted with a daily-rotating hash, not cookies. No consent banner required.
Live by default
Active visitors and fresh rollups stream into the dashboard in real time, in every open tab.
One tiny snippet
A ~1KB script tag. No tag manager, no SDK maze, no week of instrumentation.
We cut our ad spend in half and grew revenue. Revtrail showed us that one newsletter drove more paying customers than every paid channel combined.
Attribution →
Every payment, credited to the channel that earned it.
Revtrail stitches first visit → signup → payment into one journey, so channels are ranked by the revenue they produce — not the traffic they send.
First-touch journeys
The channel that first brought a visitor gets the credit when they eventually pay.
Payment events
One call with an amount — from the browser or your payment webhook — and the dollars land.
Revenue per visitor
The one metric that tells you what a visitor from each channel is actually worth.
UTM aware
Campaign, source, and medium are captured automatically from every landing URL.
Customer LTV
Repeat payments accumulate on the journey, so channels are ranked by lifetime value.
Goal funnels
Define signup and trial goals and see conversion per source at every step.

Attribution
Most analytics stop at the pageview.
A visitor lands, reads two pages, and leaves. Traditional analytics files that under a bounce rate and moves on. Revtrail treats it as the start of a journey.
When that visitor comes back next week and signs up, the signup is credited to the channel that first brought them. When they pay, the revenue lands on that same channel — automatically.
None of it is something you configure. Install the snippet, fire a payment event, and the attribution starts working the same day.
- 01The journey. First visit, return, signup, payment. Four moments stitched into one attributed path.
- 02Custom goals. Track signups, trials, and downloads as goals — each one attributed back to its source.
- 03Revenue events. One call with an amount, and the dollars show up next to the channel that earned them.
- 04Live view. Watch who is on your site right now, and which pages are converting today.
Goals →
From landing page to paying customer, step by step.
Define the events that matter — signups, trials, purchases — and see exactly where each channel's visitors convert or drop off.
Custom events
revtrail('signup') is all it takes to define a new goal from your code.
Conversion by source
Every goal broken down by the channel that delivered the converting visitor.
Funnel steps
Chain goals into funnels and find the exact step where journeys stall.
Cross-platform goals
Web and mobile fire the same event names, so one goal counts both.
Revenue on goals
Payment events carry real amounts, so funnels end in dollars, not counts.
API events
Fire goals server-side with the API when the conversion happens in your backend.

The team
Built by founders who needed it.
Revtrail exists because we got tired of guessing which marketing worked. Every feature earns its place by answering one question: did it make money?
A small team
No committees. Every feature ships because a paying customer needed the answer it gives.
Privacy first
Cookieless, GDPR-friendly by architecture. We aggregate journeys, not people.
Ships every week
Updates go out weekly, driven by what paying founders ask for.
Customer funded
We optimize for your renewal, not an exit. If Revtrail pays for itself, we both win.
Start tracking
Stop paying for traffic that never pays you.
When every channel has a dollar value next to it, marketing stops being a guess. This is what revenue-first analytics looks like.

Questions
Frequently asked.
Do I need a cookie consent banner?+
No. Revtrail is cookieless — visitors are counted with a daily-rotating hash that can't follow anyone across days or sites, so there's nothing to consent to.
How does revenue attribution work?+
The snippet remembers the visitor's first source within their journey. When you fire a payment event (client-side or from your payment webhook), the amount is credited to that source.
What counts as an event?+
Any data point the snippet records: a pageview, a custom goal, or a payment. Plans are priced purely by monthly events.
Can I import or export my data?+
Everything the dashboard shows is queryable over the typed API, and your raw events live in a store you can query directly. Your data is yours.
